Metro Blind Sport

www.metroblindsport.org

Metro Blind Sport is a London based charity, creating fun, accessible sport and physical activity opportunities for blind and partially sighted individuals of all ages and abilities.

Providing children and adults with disabilities regular opportunities to access and enjoy sailing activities.

Through RYA Sailability, 20,000 people in the UK with a disability have been able to experience sailing and sail regularly.

Sailing is one of the very few sports in which able-bodied sailors and disabled sailors can participate on equal terms.

Sailability continues to encourage and support people with disabilities to take up the sport and facilitate sites to develop sailing opportunities.

We provide adventures for 8,000 children and train over 1,500 professional career students to work within the growing global maritimes each year. We support our students to believe in themselves by providing a hand up, not a hand out. Our professional education training pathways create exciting long-term maritime career opportunities empowering our students to succeed for themselves, their communities and society.
